United To Sanction £51M bid that will be accepted after Mason Greenwood plan fails Woefully

The first player signed by Manchester United under Sir Jim Ratcliffe may have been chosen after Mason Greenwood was not included in a deal.

Reports say that Manchester United has signed the first player since Sir Jim Ratcliffe took over, while Juventus works on a plan for Gleison Bremer’s replacement. People say the Red Devils did the right thing when they said they would meet Bremer’s price before making changes to their defence this summer.

Ratcliffe is likely to focus most of his first hires as co-owner on the defence. There will be changes at full-back and center-back in the near future.

United is going to try to get at least one new central defender, but they might also sign someone else since the fate of several players after the summer are unknown.

Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans’ contracts are up in July, and there have been few signs that either player or the club is negotiating a new one.

At the same time, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are entering the last year of their contracts at Old Trafford. United might be tempted to sell if the right deals come in.

There are rumours in Italy that Bremer is almost certain to join Manchester United’s roster next season to help Erik ten Hag’s defence.

Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Thursday that the 27-year-old player’s present deal has a £51 million release clause that goes into effect in 2025.

To get him away from Juventus this summer, United is said to be ready to make a deal worth the same amount. Juventus would accept it.

The story also says that the M16 giants have been talking with Bremer’s people for a while and are ready to beat out other big suitors from all over Europe.

It’s clear that Juventus is getting ready to lose him because they are already looking for possible substitutes.

For £35 million, the Old Lady bought Bremer from Torino, a team in the same Serie A. This season, he has started all 31 league games he has been able to, missing only one because he was suspended.

United is said to have tried to offer Mason Greenwood as part of a deal for the Brazil international, and Juventus wanted to sign the 22-year-old forward.

Greenwood is said to have turned down the offer, though, because he wants to stay in Spain after his season-long loan at Getafe ends.

Adding Greenwood to a deal by Ratcliffe would have cut Bremer’s fee by some money, but Gazzetta says he is ready to do whatever it takes to get his signature.

This season, Bremer hasn’t missed a single game because of an illness. This is a great quality to have after Ten Hag’s availability problems over the last few months, especially in defence.
