A Sky Sports commentator makes a claim about Erik ten Hag’s future with Manchester United. The “nail in the coffin” for the Red Devils boss could be this.
Based on what Sir Jim Ratcliffe did recently, former England custodian Paul Robinson says that Erik ten Hag may have put the final “nail in the coffin” at Manchester United.
Ten Hag is under a lot of stress at Manchester United
It’s almost the end of the Dutchman’s second season at Old Trafford. His first season was great, but this one has been really poor.
United is currently stuck in seventh place in the Premier League. Their recent 2-2 draws at home against Liverpool and away against Bournemouth may not have been terrible results, but they haven’t played nearly well enough either.
As the summer transfer market gets closer, Ten Hag is coming under more and more scrutiny. Many fans are starting to question whether he is the right person to lead the club forward under Ratcliffe. In case the former Ajax manager is fired, Graham Potter is one of many people who are said to be in the running to take over.
The Dutch manager continues to impress with his all-around management, from his people skills to his tactics know-how, as the season comes to a close.
A Sky Sports commentator makes a big Ten Hag claim
Sky Sports commentator Paul Robinson said on Football Insider’s Inside Track show that Ten Hag is almost fired by Manchester United because Ratcliffe doesn’t have plans for him and wants to make a lot of changes behind the scenes since he joined the club.
“You can tell Ratcliffe is making things his own when it comes to football.” There are changes going on. Because of the trade window and the boss in charge, you can’t make changes right away on the pitch.
“I just think that all of this reorganisation, with Dan Ashworth, Sir David Brailsford, Jason Wilcox (former Southampton chief), and the rest of the board joining, is another nail in the coffin for ten Hag.” The board doesn’t want him as a boss; he’s not their man. He’s not on that new team.
“Ten Hag has one big job to do before the season ends: he needs to show the board that he is the right person to lead Man United.” I don’t think he’ll be there for much longer, at least not until the end of the season.
The game against Bournemouth was yet another sign that Ten Hag isn’t right for the United job. His team once again gave up at least 20 goals and were usually beaten by the Cherries.
Ratcliffe has brought in some exciting new players for the back room, but things will only go smoothly if they have the right manager in charge to make the new players work well with the old ones.
