Manchester United now open to selling Antony to save big wages, replace him with $60M Man City and Arsenal Target

The fact that Manchester United tied Bournemouth after another shaky game put even more pressure on Erik ten Hag.

They have only won one of their last seven games, and after having faint hopes of making it to the Champions League, they are now desperately trying to hold on to any European spot at all.

At least Antony wasn’t in charge of a bad showing for once; he’s been great lately but wasn’t with the team against Bournemouth.

There were a lot of guesses after that, and the situation is still unclear. However, his position at United may be becoming clearer now.

A well-known and trusted source in the trade market, Rudy Galletti, says that United have decided to sell Antony in the summer.

It seems likely that he will be sold for a fair price, which will not be near the £80 million or so that they paid for him in 2022.

No more than a £6 million a year salary for Sir Jim Ratcliffe, and INEOS wants to get rid of it. Any transfer fee above that amount will be good.

Instead, Crystal Palace wants to sign French player Michael Olise, who has done very well in the Premier League.

Even though Olise is also a left-footed right winger, he has consistently produced well in the Premier League.

Besides that, he will definitely be paid less than Antony, whose deal seemed crazy at the time, even without the benefit of hindsight.

The new people in charge at Old Trafford want to get the wages in line, and selling off some of the worst mistakes made by the old people is the first step towards that goal.

If Antony is sold, it will be another huge blow to Ten Hag’s authority, who was a big reason why he signed Antony from Ajax and has been a strong supporter of the player ever since.
