The Premier League match between Burnley and Manchester United on Saturday concluded in a scoreless tie.

We learned on Saturday if Wednesday’s gains were due to genuine progress or whether they were just a result of Sheffield United’s poor performance.
In their match against Burnley, who are in nineteenth position, Ten Hag’s squad returned to their season-long trademark style—one that is both structureless and individualistic.
Although Antony’s goal kept him from becoming one of the manager’s mistakes, there were still many poor decisions to make after a disastrous 1-1 draw.
We believe Ten Hag was mistaken about these three points…
Incorrect substitutiin were made by Ten Hag.
United were unable to gain any momentum into the second half, and Burnley were clearly the superior team.
Ten Hag made the correct decision by bringing in Amad Diallo and Scott McTominay off the bench early on, while removing Rasmus Hojlund and Kobbie Mainoo.
United were left without a weapon when Hojlund was substituted out; the right player to be substituted out would have been Alejandro Garnacho, who had been disappointing.
Since this substitution gave Burnley so much room to operate in, Christian Eriksen should have replaced Mainoo in the middle of the pitch.
Changing one’s mind about playing a possession style of football
Everyone here has read about how Ineos wants Ten Hag to play a certain style of football moving ahead, thus they force it on the club.
Since United haven’t controlled a game in quite some time, this was something Ten Hag consciously tried to do against Sheffield.
A 4-2 victory was the result, which was a significant improvement over the previous month’s performance.
In their match against Burnley, however, the Clarets seemed to have given up on this strategy and instead reverted to long ball counter football, despite having more players on the pitch.
The manager’s actions are very unproductive since they will ensure his demise in the eyes of the incoming decision-makers.
Delaying Amad Diallo’s debut
From the beginning of the month, Amad has been the one man who Manchester United supporters have wanted to see start games.
Even though Ten Hag has repeatedly acknowledged that the Ivorian needs more playing time, he continues to ignore the fact that the Ivorian has shone in practically every appearance off the bench.
Due to Garnacho’s apparent exhaustion, Amad may have started either Saturday or Wednesday’s home games against the league’s two poorest clubs.
Not only are we a lesser team as a result of Ten Hag’s treatment of him, but we also risk permanently losing Amad this summer.
