Arsenal will likely be looking for a new playmaker this summer.
There is no doubt that the north London club has been linked with a number of midfielders ahead of the next transfer window.
Martin Zubimendi and Douglas Luiz are two players who have been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates. Luiz has now said some interesting things about another player Arsenal wants to sign.
The Gunners are said to be interested in Joao Palhinha. In an interview with Mail Sport, Luiz said that Palhinha is one of the best midfielders in the world right now, ranking him higher than N’Golo Kante and Kobbie Mainoo.
Ask, “Palhinha or Jorginho?” Someone asked Luiz.
“Palhinha,” Luiz replied.
“And Palhinha or Joelinton?”
“Palhinha,” Luiz replied.
“Que é Palhinha ou Mainoo?”
“Palhinha,” Luiz replied.
“Kante or Palhinha?”
“Palhinha,” Luiz replied.
Joao Palhinha might be a great fit for Arsenal.
Palhinha is good, as Luiz says.
As a Fulham player, the Portuguese star is often forgotten in these discussions. But make no mistake, Palhinha is one of the best players in the Premier League and would be a great fit for Arsenal.
Arsenal needs a player who can block the defense and give Declan Rice more freedom to move around the field. Palhinha is one of the few players in the world who can do that.
Even though Fulham fans won’t like this, Palhinha is a great player who should move on to a bigger club this summer.
It remains to be seen if that club turns out to be Arsenal in the end.
