Ben Jacobs: Brilliant 22yr Old forward wants United move now, INEOS have already approved the deal

With just the FA Cup to play for and no chance of qualifying for the Champions League following a dismal season, Manchester United supporters could really use some good news right now.

The last time United had that trophy was during Louis van Gaal’s tenure there in 2015–16, when Crystal Palace was defeated by a goal from Jesse Lingard in extra time.

In terms of the next campaign, United may benefit once again from Palace’s defeat if they are able to sign Michael Olise, one of the Eagles’ best players.

The 22-year-old has long been the subject of rumors suggesting that United placed a strong priority on signing him in the summer transfer window.

The bad news about Old Trafford, meanwhile, has been compounded by recent rumors that indicate Olise wants to join a Champions League side exclusively, therefore shutting out a transfer to Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag seemed to have to start over from scratch, but a fresh assessment released this morning presents a much more positive image.

Transfer specialist Ben Jacobs of Give Me Sport claims that Olise is still “open” to playing for the Red Devils.

Furthermore, according to Jacobs, INEOS, United’s partial owner, has already approved the deal.

Jacobs said, “I believe Michael Olise is amenable to Manchester United.”

“Olise is the only name that was pre-approved, even though additional targets are still being chosen since this INEOS-led athletic department is new.

“Even in January, while the transition was still ongoing, Olise was mentioned by the incoming government and was in fact included on the previous regime’s preliminary list of possible targets.

“Everyone at Manchester United has always agreed that Olise is a name they like.”

The precise amount of the release clause for the individual who has dual French and English nationality is yet unknown.

Even while it seems that the media is in agreement that such a provision exists, the amounts mentioned range from as low as £35 million to as much as £60 million.

INEOS would undoubtedly leap at the smaller price, but a £60 million price would probably make them pause considering Olise’s history of injuries.
