Well deserved United: INEOS optimistic of agreeing game Changing deal before summer

Manchester United faced their 12th defeat of the season against Chelsea, intensifying the pressure on manager Erik ten Hag.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe attended the match, witnessing the recurring flaws in the team’s system under Ten Hag, leading to speculation about the manager’s future.

Prior to making any decisions regarding the manager, the new co-owner is focused on establishing a robust structure behind the scenes to support whoever is in charge.

INEOS, the club’s new owners, are making significant moves to strengthen the management team, with Omar Berrada set to join as CEO from Manchester City, and negotiations underway with Southampton for Jason Wilcox to become the new technical director.

However, the acquisition of Dan Ashworth, currently Newcastle’s sporting director, has encountered complications, as the Magpies are demanding substantial compensation or retention of Ashworth until 2025.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is frustrated with Newcastle’s reluctance to compromise on the compensation package for Ashworth’s early release.

Recent reports suggest that United may be willing to delay Ashworth’s arrival until after the summer transfer window to negotiate a lower compensation fee.

Negotiations between United and Newcastle are reportedly close to reaching an agreement, with INEOS prepared to pay £10 million for Ashworth’s release.

Meanwhile, United are also facing compensation-related delays in appointing Jason Wilcox as the new technical director and Sam Williams as the lead academy scout.
