Ten Hag Applaud great leader Maguire amid West Ham huge Interest as he bemoans defensive issues

Erik ten Hag said it was hard to lose his star players to injuries, but he had a lot of good things to say about Harry Maguire.

Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw have both been out for a long time for Manchester United this season. Martinez has hurt his foot, knee, and leg, and Shaw is having trouble with a muscle issue.

Varane will be out for most of the rest of the season, and Evans has also been having a tough time. Ten Hag hasn’t been able to keep a steady defensive line this season because of this, and he’s now talked about how that’s hurting his team’s season.

He said before his team’s game against Bournemouth, “It’s very hard to keep changing the back four.” “So anyone who knows even a little about football knows that it will affect your results and how well you play.”

“The back four is always the key to success.” That wasn’t here.

“But we still have to win, we know that, so then others have to take responsibility but when you oversee then you know it has a negative impact.”

According to the stats, it’s a big pain for him because United has given up 17 goals in eight straight Premier League away games since a 0-0 draw at Anfield in December.

Maguire is a player who has been playing regularly for Ten Hag while Martinez has been out.

Even though West Ham tried to sign him in the summer and Ten Hag gave Bruno Fernandes the captain’s shirt instead, the back has been playing much better lately.

Reports said that the Hammers were interested in his defence again. Ten Hag said, “You have to look at it that way.” Maguire has always made us happy, but he wants to play.

“He’s a great leader, a great defender, and a fan favourite with the ball.”

“When I think about all of those skills, he is even more important to lead that line and make us play from the back right now, when we are having trouble on our defence.”

Mark Goldbridge says that Manchester United “doesn’t belong” in the Champions League and that their players aren’t good enough for the way they play. “So we’re glad he’s there; we need him to get our results and reach our goals,” Goldbridge said.

Manchester United has won four of their last five Premier League games at Bournemouth, including a 1-0 win last season. This is a good sign for them.

They did beat United 3-0 in December, though, and now they want to win both league games against them for the first time ever.
