Well, it looked like Manchester United’s number eight didn’t agree with what his boss said.
In the seventh minute of today’s 2-2 draw, Fernandes and Onana were fighting about whether to play the ball short or long. This is even more concerning when you consider that Ten Hag had just finished talking to his players in the locker room.
The Dutchman stepped in and told his leader to calm down from the sidelines, but the Portugal player wouldn’t listen and was seen pointing at the Haaksbergen player.

There was a fight between Fernandes and Onana over whether to play from the back or go long. Ten Hag told Fernandes to calm down, but he wouldn’t listen, so Ten Hag yelled at him. Fernandes put an end to it by waving his finger. #mufc
This could happen at any point in the game, but to see an argument only seven minutes in shows that either no one at Manchester United knows what Ten Hag wants or they do know what Ten Hag wants and strongly disagree with it.
Manchester United needs to move on, and it looks like they will.
We think that Ten Hag should be let go by Manchester United, even if he wins the FA Cup or makes it to the UEFA Champions League.
There are only a few days left until it has been two years since he took over at Old Trafford, but there are still no real signs of progress.
Anything good that has happened recently under the Dutchman has been more due to individual talent than to the team working together as a whole.
Ian Ladyman of the Daily Mail says that Manchester United has already chosen to fire Ten Hag. If that’s true, we are sure that Sir Jim Ratcliffe made the right choice.
