Manchester United has been mentioned with Michael Olise in the past, but a move this summer seems less possible as United stays in the league.
Olise’s release option could be used if he chooses to leave Crystal Palace.
United doesn’t have a reliable right back, so they might look at Olise as a possible fit, even though it would cost a lot of money.
Michael Olise has been linked with a move away from Crystal Palace for a long time after showing off his skills in south London over the past few years. However, David Ornstein says that the talented wide player won’t be going to Manchester United this summer because they didn’t finish in the top four.
Olise moved to Selhurst Park from Reading in 2021. He had been a star at the Madejski Stadium, scoring seven goals in 44 games during his last season there. At that point, he was 19 years old and the world was his oyster.
Olise has been praised since then; he scored some amazing goals, like a last-second free kick against United and a goal that could have won him Goal of the Month against Luton Town. He has been linked with Chelsea, United, and other teams across Europe after adjusting so well to the Premier League.
But any moves by the Red Devils in the summer are very unlikely to succeed, even though they have wanted to get him for a long time. Ornstein says that their fate will finally depend on how well they do in the Champions League.
Ornstein agreed that Olise has promise, but he also said that Olise knows where and when he should be next, which is not United right now. What he wrote:
“I think Olise would only leave Palace for a Champions League club, and if he did leave, it would be for one of the few biggest ones in that league.”
“People say that he is a smart and thoughtful player who knows what level he can reach and will know exactly when, where, and if he should move.” There is likely a release clause in the new deal he signed after the Chelsea mess, just like there was in the old one.
“That way, clubs will have a good idea of what they need to do to get him.” I don’t know of any important changes that have happened so far, but that could change in the next few weeks and months.
United needs more players on the right side of the game. Jadon Sancho is on loan to Borussia Dortmund and doesn’t seem to be in Erik ten Hag’s plans. Antony, on the other hand, has had a terrible time with English football and is quickly losing favour at Old Trafford, even though he played for Ten Hag at Ajax.
Michael Olise has scored six goals and set up three others in just 13 Premier League games this season.
That left a huge hole on the right side of the attack. Olise, who has been called a “special” talent by former manager Patrick Vieira and who has done well in the Premier League for an attacking team, could be the perfect player for United to bring in over the next few years, but a deal needs to be made first.
In the past, Olise has been mentioned with United and other teams.
Ben Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT in March that Olise is United’s “only” cleared target for the summer transfer window. This could mean some interesting things happen.
More reports said that Olise would rather go to United than Chelsea or Liverpool if he were to leave in the summer, which is expected to happen. He has a £60 million release clause, which is a huge fee for Palace but could be a huge win for a club that buys him.
