“Very busy” – Fabrizio Romano shares big Man Utd update he’s hearing behind the scenes

Manchester United are going to have a huge rebuilding process again this summer, with many of their highest-paid stars on huge contracts leaving. However, Fabrizio Romano has told GIVEMESPORT that they don’t know how many stars they will bring in right now because it depends on how many of their older players leave.

The Red Devils have had a disappointing season compared to previous years. They were knocked out of the Carabao Cup early on, lost to Galatasaray and Copenhagen in the group stage of the Champions League, and are currently seventh in the Premier League. Fans will not remember this season with fondness. Even their run in the FA Cup was almost ruined when they lost late to Coventry City at Wembley. Even if they win the final against Manchester City in May, it might not be enough to forget about their bad season.

Likely, a lot of changes will be made to the playing group because of this, and the new owners, INEOS, will also make big changes to the board. What happens next will depend on how many stars leave, so Romano doesn’t know how big the changes will be.

The summer will bring a lot of changes to Man United.

There will be a lot of stars leaving United in the summer, even if they don’t sell anyone. Veteran centre back Jonny Evans, out-of-sorts striker Anthony Martial, and Tom Heaton are all set to leave. The club could extend Raphael Varane’s contract, but he has a history of injuries, so they may just want to get rid of him.

The defender hasn’t been given a new contract yet, and things are likely to change a lot since players like Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood aren’t in the running for a spot on the first team. After coming back to Borussia Dortmund on loan in January, Sancho has been linked with a permanent move there, so there could be money to spend. But United won’t know how much or how little they can bring in over the summer until those deals are signed.

Romeo: “Man Utd Will Have a Lot to Do”

The club is getting ready to show high-paid stars the door.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Romano did say that United would be busy, but it’s hard to say how busy they will be until their out-of-favor stars are fixed. What he said:

“I think they’ll be very busy.” To be honest, I have no idea what the number is right now because it depends on how much money is being spent. We know how important it is to find out what’s going on with Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, and many other players who are still with the club.

“Anthony Martial is leaving, and Raphael Varane is not being offered a new deal right now. We have to wait and see what happens with Christian Eriksen and Casemiro, though. There are a lot of things to talk about.”

This is the reason why it’s hard to see or say how many players United will sign right now.

“But I think a lot of people will be coming and going, so I expect them to be very, very busy with going and coming.”

The Red Devils’ season is coming to an end.

United still has six Premier League games to play to save face and get into Europe. United must either beat City in the cup final or finish in the top seven if they want to play in European competition next season. They are currently second in the table, seven points behind Newcastle.

Key Statistic: Manchester United needs to get nine points from their last six games to escape having the same worst Premier League season ever.

Their last four games, against Brighton, Newcastle, Arsenal, and Crystal Palace, will be tough. If they lose to Newcastle, it’s possible that Old Trafford won’t be in Europe next season.
