Over the past few years, Zinedine Zidane has been connected to the Manchester United position; this week, new reports surfaced.
Reports linked Zinedine Zidane to the Manchester United position, death, and taxation.
These three things never change, so maybe the rumors that Zidane might take over at Old Trafford will end when he declares he’s not going back to coaching.
According to Zidane, there’s no reason to declare this publicly, therefore rumors that connect him to the United position might continue until 2056.
Since leaving Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, the Frenchman has been connected to United on several occasions, but there has been no word on whether he will take on coaching duties once more.
During his tenure as Los Blancos’ manager, Zidane became the first coach to win the Champions League three times in a row, and his reputation hasn’t diminished.
Without a doubt, Zidane’s reputation is strong and he is a person who fits the role of manager at United, but he has been out of the game for a long time, and his tenure at Real Madrid, even though he had remarkable success there, was practically “babysitting.”
It’s clear that Zidane had access to elite players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema, and his job was to control egos.
Since Zidane was a talented player, it is arguable that he lacks managerial experience, and selecting him to lead United would be risky.
Zidane’s final season as Madrid’s manager, his second tenure ended without a trophy, and the Spanish powerhouses remain the only team he has ever managed since hanging up his boots.
Although he was expected to succeed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2021, it didn’t work out, and he later stated that his limited command of English would keep him from joining the Premier League.

“Am I interested in visiting Manchester [United]? Regarding a potential move in the summer of 2022, an honest Zidane stated, “I understand English, but I’m not completely fluent in it.”
“I am aware that some coaches visit clubs without knowing the language, but my approach is different. There are other factors at play; the situation is worldwide. I’m aware of what I need to succeed.
Zidane has plenty of time to work on his English, but the big picture is that he would be a very hazardous choice to replace Erik ten Hag.
